TWO MEN DROWNED
TRAGIC OCCURRENCE ON LAKE TE ANAU (By Teljir'v.ph—Pres* Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Two men were drowned and a third narrowly escaped, through a boat from which they were fishing, capsizing in Lake Te * Anau on Saturday. Their names .were W. 11. Thomas, aged 31, single, and J. Kirkland, aged 39, married. The third man, named Mapletop, clung to the boat and drifted ashore. Thomas was well known in football circles here.
