SHOOTING AT TRENTHAM YESTERDAY'S PROGRESS CALDWELL AND HAMILTON LEADING (By Talegraph.— Press Association) TRENTHAM, 11th February. It was an exceptionally warm day at Trentham with sufficient breeze to keep the mirage from being too pronounced. There have been marked changes in the. aggregates, many of those far down having crept up in the Wellington and Otago matches. In the Otago match, at bUO yards, five “possibles” were obtained, four being on the Scddon range, where the wind was more steady. Goldfinch, Haldine, Higgs and Calder scored the maximum, also Thomas (Linton), a veteran rifleman. The keenest interest is being taken, the scores of the leaders being anxiously watched. Nerves are •finding out several of those who did well at the shorter ranges, and they have crashed hadly. Good scores , aie being registered, but difficulty is experienced in holding the bull. Neilson, who is shooting consistently, won the Trentham Aggregate, awarded the competitor whose respective scares at the 300, 500 and 60b yards in the opening Marlborough, Auckland, Canterbury, and Wellington *-.
