AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR NEW ZEALAND

MAILEY’S SUGGESTION (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr P. B. Broad, chairman of tiro Wellington Cricket Association, commenting on Hailey’s suggestion that the Australian team should tour New. Zealand early next season prior to going to England, said it would be an excellent thing if tiie tour could be carried out. An invitation had been forwarded to send an English team to New Zealand, and if that eventuated he doubted if we could take the Australian team as well. If the tour applied to-1931 it might have been possible and would be an excellent tilling for both Australia and New Zealand. However, it- was a matter for the New Zealand Council to decide.
