CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION

(By Telegraph.—Pres* Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. In the Arbitration Court a claim was made by Maxwell Louis Pemin against John Graham, of Stokes Valley, for £325 compensation and expenses in respect to injury to his eye through being struck by a piece of gorse while clearing a section for defendant. It was stated that the parties were on good terms, but unable to agree over the amount of compensation. Mr Justice Frazer remarked that both were very lucky.
