NEGOTIATIONS FOR CONVENTION

RUGBY, Uth February. Mr G. Locker-Lampson, Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs, stated in the House of Commons that negotiations have for some time been proceeding between the United States, Great Britain and Iraq for the conclusion of a convention . similar to the Anglo-American Convention regarding Palestine, to regularise relations between the United States and Iraq,, and the status of United States citizehs in that country. It is hoped these negotiations may lead to the signature of the proposed convention at an early date.
