The matter, was dismissed at yesterday s mooting of the hoard, when the chairman said that the Empire Theatre management had agreed to lend a film to the hospital once a fortnight free of chargo and also to see to the operation of the hoard’s machine l . AH the hoard would lie called upon to pay was 5s for the operator. Mr Novden, who understood tho special mechanism of the hoard’s projector, had signified his willingness to instruct tho Empire Theatre’s operator in its use.
Tho chairman pointed out that in the summer time it might not he possible.to hold picture shows regularly, because the matron liked to liavo all the patients settled in bed at half-past nine o’clock in the evenings, which was too soon after dark.
A resolution was passed adopting the arrangement and expressing tho board,s thanks to 'Mr Norden and also to the management of the Empire Theatre.
