ANOTHER DICTATOR

PRINCE OF MONACO United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (United Service) NICE, 9th January. There is another dictator in Europe to-day bringing the number to eleven. He is Prince Louis 11 of Monaco, a microscopic principality on the Riviera, whose revenues are derived from the famous gambling tables. The Prince and his people are at loggerheads in a crisis, largely due to the gas supply. Reports from Monte Carlo indicate that Prince Louis intends to solve the crisis in the principality by a ..coup d’etat. He lias issued a decree cancelling the elections for the new national council or Parliament, and has made a statement that he will govern the principality himself as sole ruler, without assistance or advice.

The townspeople consider this order, interpreted, means that the Casino authorities, whose difference with the elected body provoked the crisis, intend to impose their policy upon the inhabitants.
