DROWNING FATALITIES

SWEPT OUT TO SEA (By Telegraph—Press Association) WAIROA, Tliis Day. Two men named Charles Strong and Val Brown were fishing at .the mouth of the Mohaka river late yesterday afternoon when the boat overturned and Strong was swept out to sea. Brown reached the shore exhausted. Strong’s body was recovered this morning. Deceased was married and resided at Frasertown.

BODY RECOVERED

WELLINGTON, This Day. The dead body of Mrs Annie Clarkson, aged 39, the wife of William Bowes Clarkson, of Boulcott street, was recovered from the harbour at 7 a.m. near Taranaki street wharf. Apparently the body had been in the water some hours.
