STRICT CENSORSHIP ESTAB LISIIED

(Received 9th January, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Bth January. Tho “Daily Chronicle” says it is not fair to represent the change in Jugoslavia as a change from Parliamentary Government to Autocracy. Parliamentary Government in Belgrade since the war has broken down. There have been 25 Ministries in 10 years, and the new Stale was threatened with disintegration and even civil war.

Belgrade telegrams state that complete calm now reigns everywhere in Jugo-Slavia, and it is hoped that the long period of instability is ended; hut as strict censorship has been established it is difficult to fully ascertain the real feeling of the country. While Crotia welcomes King Alexander’s action in suspending tho hated constitution of 1921, the country does not. expect the King to fulfil all the fundamental demands of the Croatian autonomists. The three Croatian members of the! Cabinet however enjoy the confidertee of tho Croat leaders at Zagreb.
