TEST MATCH AUSTRALIA BEATS ENGLAND SYDNEY, Clh January. Australia won the tennis test match against Great Britain by 4 rubbers to 2. The feature of yesterday's play was Willard's great form, against Collins (England). The results are as follows: Singles—Willard heat Collins 6-2, 6-1. 7-5. Doubles —Crawford and Ilopman heat. Gregory and Austin 6-4, 6-3, 7-9, 6-2. Total—Australia. 4 rubbers, 14 sets, 127 games; British Isles, 2 rubbers, 10 sets, 117 games. BACK TO AMATEURISM IF DISQUALIFICATION OFFENCE _ NOT REPEATED (Received 7th January, 9.40 a.in.i PARIS, 6th January. ■The French Lawn Tennis Federation adopted the principle of restoring professionals to amateur status if they do not repeat the offence for which they were disqualified.
