LONDON. sth January/ Political parties in Britain are realis- - -- 1 ing that the general election, which is expected on 6th October, will cost ener- " ■ niously more than the previous election, owing to 5.245,000 new names on the register. It is expected there will he at least 1.600 candidates, whose expenses are likely to aggregate £1,250,000.
