The “Daily News” Constantinople correspondent states that Turco-Gi'eek tension is increasing over Greece’s alleged ill-treatment of Turks in Western Thrace. Violent criticisms are appearing in Turkish newspapers, some predicting a rupture of relations.

Mediation by Italy is believed to be imminent.
