SYDNEY SEAMEN

FACTIONAL FIGHT

United Pres 9 Association— By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright Australian Press Association

(Received 27th November, 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.

The factional fight which has disturbed the Seamen’s Union ranks during the past three years, has been transferred to the Federal Arbitration Court for settlement, Johnson followers having decided to apply for registration. Walsh’s section already has lodged an application. Mr Walsh describes the Johnsonian move as a bluff, since they had three years in which to register, but always scouted the idea.

The Johnson men state, on the other hand, that the seamen were induced to join Walsh’s union under false pretences, and were now repudiating it.
