MOTOR COLLISION

THREE CARS INVOLVED

TE KUITI, This Day,

Three cars were involved in a motor collision which occurred between the racecourse and Te Kuiti at 5.45 last night. A car driven by F. E. West, of Taumarunui, struck one driven by Joe Hoe when attempting to pass. Hoe’s car was thrown off the road, and West’s struck another head on coming in the opposite' direction., and driven by limes Jones.

Four occupants of West’s car sustained injuries. Sam Sarah, of Taumarunui, lias severe injuries to the head; Cecil A. Boles, Taumarunui, injuries to head and face, cuts about, the head and arms, and shock; Esme Henderson, Te Kuiti, injured shoulder bone, minor injuries, and shock; Jim Vujicli, severe cuts on the head and right arm, and shock. West received had cuts on the right arm from broken glass.

Reports this morning show that all the injured are making satisfactory progress. West’s and limes Jones’s cars were badly damaged. All had a remarkable escape.
