NEW SEASON’S LAMB
KILLING AT FREEZING WORKS
EXCEPTIONALLY FINE QUALITY
The Stoke Freezing Works commenced killing the new season’s lamb to-day. This is the first occasion since the inception of the works that lambs have been killed in November, it being usually in January before a start was made. The quality of lamb is exceptionally fine and killing should continue steadily up to Christmas, showing that stock has come through the spring very well indeed. The fat lambs shown at the A. and I ■ Show last week were very favourably commented on by the judge. The quality of the stock proved what the district is' capable of producing.
