The Minister of National Revenue, Mr Euler, announces that after February Ist goods entering Canada under British preferential rates must be 50 per cent. Empire materials and labour. The present percentage required is 25. The change it is hoped will stimulate production within the Empire. Corresponding provision will he made with regard to imports under the intermediate tariff under special treaties and conventions.
