There was animated bidding and values were very firm, while top lines of superfine fleece and good skirtings ruled from par to 5 per cent higher. Greasy merino sold to 27d. CANADIAN WHEAT YIELD (Received 14th November, 11.5 a.m.) OTTAWA, 13th November. Canada’s 1928 wheat yield is estimated by the Government Bureau of Statistics at 500,613,000 bushels.

(Received 14th November, 1.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, 13th November.
Stock Exchange sales were again around 5,000,000, but the record was not broken. Tickers were only half an hour behind to-day, and trading more orderly. United States Steel was the leader bit the up-side, with a new high point of 168, which did much to steady the entire list. Many good advances were made, especially in copper.
