AMERICAN MOTHERS' TIME OF TRIAL
(The. following special letter to New Zealand is written bv Mrs T. F. duPont'Bavard, wife of the distinguished United States Senator, the Hon. T. F. Bayard, j Bohemia Manor, Chesopeake City, Maryland. I think that prohibition has done, and is doing, this country a vast amount of harm. Young people who never thought of taking strong; liquor when wine and beer were usedj now think nothing ot using strong cocktails. I hope sincerely that in a short time tiu> American people will demand the repeal of this 38th Amendment, and 1 sincerelv hope that no such time of trial as we have and are. still going through will be visited on New Zealand. Very truly yours, "(Signed) ELIZABETH duPONT-HAYARD, (Mrs T. F.) Keep out that disastrous farce called prohibition. Vote Continuance.*
