NEW PRAYER BOOK

The Church Assembly agreed to the publication of the 1928 Prayer Book prefaced by a note dealing with the hook's history and position, explicitly stating that publication neither directly nor indirectly implies authorisation for church use.
The Archbishop of York explained that publication was due to the book still exciting general interest, and must always specially interest students of the Church's history, therefore it ought to be accessible.
