The shool was also the first of three similar competitions for the Gledhill trophy, and was of .10 shots at each range with 2 optional sighters. President, F. Kenning in third place with 91 (4744) off the ride. Dudgeon, last week's winner of (he President's trophy, made 41 at 500 but only reached 37 at 600yds. Sharland started off with 33 for sighter at 500, which he cut out, and getting the bull with his first business shot went on with 555_555454—48, and at 600yds lie eot the T)ii7i first shot, going on with 455555553—47. WAIMEA CLUB The Waimea Defence Rifle Club held a competition on Saturday last.
