WELLINGTON’S “IMPUDENT” PROPOSAL OBJECTION AT GISBORNE (By Telegraph—Press Association) GISBORNE, This Day. The Harbour Board passed a resolution thoroughly objecting to the Wellington Harbour Board’s, attempt to interfere with the present flat rate for freight charged upon produce from New Zealand ports, and expressing the opinion that the proposal was not in the interests of producers and the Dominion generally. The motion was carried unanimously, one member characterising the Wellington proposal as impudent.
