"MORE MUSIC"
(To tho Editor) Sir. —King's Acre having "gone dry" in a real sense (and not in, an American sense of the term) lias lost its entire population. What with lack of liquor and the near prospect of being imprisoned within prohibitory barbed-wire entanglements, its residents have migrated and have settled in a body on an amphibious location where their best mediums have assured them they will not be molested for many years to come. They are right under the Post Office clock under the eye of our working Chief Post Master. Here, nightly (and daily) can be heard the sweet strains of the "Frogs' Chorus," unmatched In melody by even jazz or tho best efforts of the fox-trot, all of which of course is lost on the musically uneducated and can only be appreciated by the trained ear. The "Frogs' Chorus" lasts all through the night." However, the cats have left this neighbourhood since the frogs came, so let us rest and be thankful.—l am, etc., . "A LOVER OF ALL MUSIC." Nelson, 25th October.
