MUTUAL ADVANTAGE

BRITAIN AND DOMINIONS BIG-SCALE MIGRATION \ . LORD LOVAT'S MISSION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Australian Press Association.—United Service. ■ •" (Received 11th October, 11.5 a.m:) LONDON, 10th October. At the, annual conference of British passenger agents, Mr Charles WrTgh'senr., a member, and also the secretary contributed papers prophesying important results from Lord Lovat's tour, which was calculated to promote a eonir pleie understanding with the Dominions. Lord Lovat was remarkably well '.informed on migration, and had already made important recommendations affecting Canada. It was anticipated that he would make equally important ones affecting Australia and New Zealand. . Mr Wright expressed the opinion that there were opportunities for tens of thousands in the Dominions, but to insure the develoment of resources and industries, also the continuity of employment, it was necessary to ' export capitalists and industrialists contemporaneously with workers. It was obviously to the interests of the dominions to offer opportunities to all three,\and it would be to Britain an advantage, to divert to migration part of £2#00;00Q spent weekly on unemployment pay* and charitable relief. ..-' :\r
