THE SPIRITUALISTS
FIGHT FOR POLITICAL FREEDOM
United Press Association—By Electric ; Telegraph—Copyright Australian Press Association • (Received 11th October, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, 10th October. Sir Conan Doyle calls on 250,000 Spuritualists in England to fight politically for freedom. The Jaw of England has denied spiritualists the right to us© mediums. It was religious persecution. If the Conservatives were not willing to help, the choice would lie between Liberals and Labour. _ "We are not going to be despised. Black materialism surrounds us, and we must break through. We represent the young hope of the world among all the decaying forms of religion with which we are surrounded. Everybody who thinks of the 7,000,000 war dead in Europe alone must also think that the war came after 1900 years of Christianity. If it is urged that I am mixing religion and politics, what does it matter? Doesn't the Church of England, and don't the Non-conformists?". Sir Conan and Lady Doyle have sailed for South Africa.
