HOCKEY
LADIES’ SIX-A-SIDE Tlio ladies’ six-a-side hockey tournament was held at the Botanical Reserve today. There was a good attendance of the public, and most of the games contained good fast players. The results of tho preliminary games were as follows:—Rowa A £ v. Brightwater 80. Motif ere 2v. Kia Ora AO. Kin Ora B 1 v. Riwaka D 0. Riwaka A 2v. Rewa 80. Brighlw.ater A2 v. Riwaka 86. Te Katoa A 1 v. Riwaka CO. SEMI-FINALS
Rewa A 2 v. Te Katoa A 1. Goals were scored by Misses Smith and Patterson for Rewa and Miss Gveig for Te Katoa.
Kia Ora 1 v. Moutere 0. Miss J. Hill scored Kia Ora’s goal. The semi-finals resulted: Brightwaler I v. Riwaka 0; Rewa 1 v. Tekatoa 0; Bright water 1 v. Kia Oi’a 0. The final resulted: Rewa 1 v. Brightwater 0, after overtime had.been played. The Greiner Buttons were presented to the winning team by the Mayor (Mr W. J. Moffatt). A relay race between teams from the .various clubs in the competition was won by Rewa. The team comprised Misses E. Smith, M. Berryman, H. Murday and Patterson.
