Fifteen, including Captain C- G. Martin, V.C., were sent to hospital after attending a dance, suffering from acute throat trouble akin to tonsilitis.- Six women guests were similarly affected. Simultaneously, a mild epidemic variously described as enteric fever is .reported in several districts in the London area. Three outbreaks have certain features in common. . Food supplies are being analysed.
