DEATH OF CUNABD COMMODORE

Sir James Charles, co|ramander of the A.quitania and commodore of the Ounard Line, died under dramatic circumstances at the end of Ins 728th Atlantic crossing, after which lie had intended to relire. He became ill when entering Cherbourg, and insisted on staying on the bridge till the ship berthed. Internal hemorrhage developed when crossing to Southampton and lie arrived unconscious and died in a few minutes, He was knighted for war services, when he carried thousands of troops to France from America.
