Three men collapsed in streets in London from heat and died, Sixty girls and men employed in a Newcastle-on-Tyne drapery store were treated at the "infirmary for poisoning after drinking lemonade distributed during a sale time rush. Hundreds fainted during the unveiling of the Bolton war memorial.
