WELLINGTON, This Day. Totalisator figures for tho third day of tho Wellington Racing Club's Meeting amounted to £68,978, as compared with £66,391 on tho last day a year ago. For tho three days £157,299 was invested. Last year the amount was £147,973.

MELBOURNE, 15th July. Tho Grand National Steeplechase resulted—Namera, 10.1, (Warner), 1; Nyargay, 11.7 (Mclnnes), 2; Oral Treaty, 9.3 (Tait) 3. Twelve started. Coming to the last fence Nyargay led the field from Oral Treaty, Namera being two lengths behind. Turning into tho straight Namera passed Oral Treaty and was on equal terms with Nyargay. Here the latter appeared to slip and collide with Namera. The latter, however, lost little ground and inside the distance was a wonderful fight, tho two horses racing head and head until within thirty yards of the finishing post, when Nyargay weakened and Namera drew away and won by half a neck with Oral Treaty four lengths away, third. Time, 6.H£, a course record. The Doutta Galla Hurdles race resulted—Valkee, 10.6, 1; Herare, 10.10, 2; Nobility, 9.5, 3. Teh started. Won by half a length. Time, 4.10|. 1
