Gloucestershire won by seven wickets. Derbyshire, first innings 234 (Jackson 85), Leyland taking four for 47; and in the second innings made 199 (Storer 57), .Macaulay taking five for 76. Yorkshire declared in the first innings when eight wickets had fallen for 485 (Holmes 67, .Mitchell 91, Sutcliffc 111, Leyland 149), Worthington taking four for 67. Yorkshire won by an innings and 52 runs. Kent, first innings 363 (Hardinge 64, Ashdown 136), and in the second innings lost two wickets for 120 (Deed not out 71).
