SPECIAL EXCURSION TRAIN ' FOR FARMERS Very Cheap Trip to Canterbury At last has come the turn of farmers of Marlborough and Nelson for a very cheap excursion to Canterbury. The special trains provided for farmers of other districts during this season have proved remarkably pleasant and successful from all view points. Canterbury farmers, anticipating that a large number of their brethren of Marlborough and Nelson will take ad vantage of the special travelling facilities offered by the Railway Department, are ready to give a very warm welcome to the visitors. The programme includes a run to the Agricultural College at Lincoln and a ploughing match at Balcairn. TIME-TABLE OF THE TRIP MONDAY, 23rd JULY.— Leave Picton 6.30 a.m. Leave Seddon 8.23 a.m Leave Blenheim 7.30 a.m Leave Ward 9.10 a.m. Arrive Wharanui and travel by motor to Parnassus. Leave Parnassus 2.10 p.m. Arrive Ashburton 6.35 p.m. TUESDAY, 24th JULY.— In Ashburton and District. WEDNESDAY, 25th JULY.— Leave Ashburton 8.5 a.m. Arrive Christchurch 9.25 a.m. THURSDAY, 26th JULY.— Leave Christchurch 9.1 0 a.m. Arrive Lincoln 9.42 a.m. Leave Lincoln 3.5 p.m. Arrive Christchurch 3.37 p.m. FRIDAY, 27th JULY.— Leave Christchurch 9.0 a.m. Travel to Balcairn to witness ploughing match.
