MONTHLY j MEETING
At the monthly meeting of the Nelson Land Board held on Thursday there were present: Mr A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Grown Lands (chairman) and Messrs W. C. Mirfin, G. Macmahon, A. R. Edwards and J. o‘Regan. Correspondence and Miscellaneous:— The Murchison County Council forwarded proposals for the expenditure of thirds, etc., accrued to 31st March, 1.928, and amounting to £l9 9s.—Approved. Applications for Relief under the Deteriorated Lands Act, 1925: Sections 12, 13, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, block HI and section 3, block TV Hope S.D., and section 1, block Y, Tninui Survey District.. Area, 2301 acres 1 rood 28 perches. I’urehase price £IBOO. Annual instalment £llO 10s. Owner, Win. If. Widdowson. Resolved lo re-classify land as third class—Section 34, block XV, Wangapeka S.D., area, 385 acres. Capital value £930 8s 4d, annual rental £46 10s, arrears £46 10s. Lessees, Booker Brothers. Fencing to the value of £l6 included in capital value. Resolved to reduce capital value to £29o.—Section 9, block V, Oparara S.D., area 578 acres. Capital value £5lO. Annual rental £25 10s, arrears nil.. Lessee, B. J. R. Simpson. Resolved to reduce annual rental to £7 ss. The Board also dealt with four applications to transfer, two mortgages, 1 application for transfer of mortgage, 1 lands to he opened, 1 renewal of small grazing run. 5 surrenders four forleii.urcs, 1 application liosurrender portion of section, 7 miscellaneous, I schedule, of interest lo lie remitted on postponed rent of D.S.S. mortgages to (he Crown under I lie D.S.S.
