MAGISTRATE'S COURT
CIVIL AXD POLICE BUSINESS
At the usual sitting of the Magistrate's Court hold at Collingwood, Mr T. E. Maniisell. S.M.. was on the bench. Judgment by default was given in the civil' case W. J. Jamieson v. Desmond Cadigan, claim £3 2s 6d. costs C 1 9s 6d. CRIMINAL CASES Robert Walker, charged with breaches of the Motor Vehicles Act. 1924. was convicted and fined 10s and ordered to pay 12s cost; for failing to have the assigned and distinguished marks affixed to a motor cycle: and for riding an unregistered motor cycle on a public road was convicted and ordered to pay 10s Court costs. Harrington Taegue, who was charged with similar offences, was dealt- with in the same manner. Both defendants are labourers employed at Onakaka. Arnold Taylor, :t miner, of Pnponga, (iiiisd with lining in bis possession i lillc for a longer period than seven days without, the same being registered, was convicted and lined 10s and ordered to pay Courts (osts 12s. WARDEN'S COURT In the Warden's Court an application by J. W. Carter for u water race was granted.
