Bill, the Short- Title uf which is an above to effect the following objects and purposes, viz. : I.—To authorise ihe Bishops, Clergy and Laity of the Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called "The Church of England," which in the Constitution of. such Church is described as "'The (or this or a) Branch of the United Church of England and Ireland in New Zealand" and as "This Branch of the Church of England'' in General Synod assembled, subject, to ihe provisions in the said Acl contained, to exercise the following powers, that is tn say: Tn alter, add lo or diminish the "PV.rmnlaries" which expression shall extend lo mean and include the Book of Common Prayer, the Form and Manner of Making, Ordaining and Consecrating of Bishops, Priests and Deacons, and the Thiily-nino Article; <f Religion, all referred to in Clauso 1 of the Constitution of the said Church, or any one or more of such Formularies, or'any pari or parts (hereof, or to frame or adopt for use in Ihe said Church new Formularies in lieu thereof or of any part, or parls (hereof, and lo order or permit Ihe use in public worship of n Version other than the Authorised Version of the Bible or of any pari or parts thereof.

2.—To declare to have, been and to be valid Title C!, Canon 1 of the Canons of the said General Synod as set out in the Second Schedule to the said Act. 3.--To provide that certain alterations, revocations, additions, diminutions, ordering or permit lings already made by the said General Synod or to be made under the authority of Hie above proposed Bill shaii no't affect or impair or lie deemed to have nfleeted or impaired (he identity of the said Church or to affect, jeopardise or impair the title of any properly held bv or in trust for the, said Church or 'for the Genernl Synod or any Diocesan Synod thereof or bv or in trust for any other organisations of (he said Church 4._To provide I hat the powers conferred bv the said proposed Mill shall be in substitution for the powers purporting to be conferred by Clauses 2, 3 and 4 of the Constitution of the. said Church. • s.—Printed copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited mi the Office of the Examiner of Standing Orders, Parliamentary Buildings. Wellington, and at the Diocesan Office of each Diocese of the said Church on the 12th day cf June, 1928. and the said copies may be inspected bv all persons at those Offices which are situated as follows:—26 Howling Street.
