GOOD TEMPLARS
NELSON AND TAHL'N.Y The second session of the newly opened Hope of Nelson Temple was held in the llechaliite Hall, under the superintendence of I'm. T. Somerville. and was presided over by Chief Templar Sis. Joan Mitchell. Four new members were added -Sisters Majorie Graham and Freda Gubh, and Pros. Laurie Scott, and Tonmiie Woodhou.se. After further routine business, a programme of songs, recitations, quartettes, etc.. was pleasingly gone through, including "When von go to fairy hind" by Sis. E. Gardiner', "If," hv Sis. .1. Williams, "Twice Times'' bv Pro. .1. Williams. "Pahy's Logic" by Sis. Joan (.'oilman, "Sixpence" by Sis. M. Gardiner, and "Broke" by Sis. .loan Mitchell. The quartette "Land of Nod" and "The Little Indian Baby" by members of the Temple, songs. "Little Jack Tinnier" by Pro. T. Woodhonse, "The Slave's Dream" by Sis. M. Burns. "The "Penguin and the' Whale" by Sis. R. Burns, "Sing a Song of Sixpence" bv Sis. M. Wondhouse, ."Angor" by Sis. Joan Williams. "Daddv's Pabv" hv S.'s Joan Mitchell, "The Cloud" by Si's. K. Woodhouse. "The Whale and the Boat" by Sis. K. Gardiner, and a French recitation by Sis. J. Mitchell, were all well given and enjoyed.
HOPE OF TAHT'NA TEMPLE The weekly session of the Hope of Tahuiia Temple was presided over bv Pro. Robert Day. Membership certificates given by the G.S..T.W. Were presented by the superintendent, Pro. Somerville. to Pro. Robert Dav. Pro. Allan Smallbone. Pro. Geoff. J'aekman. Pro. Jack- Greenslade, .and to Sisters Majorie and Doris Piddle, for having completed carving terms of active service. Sisters E. 'Coring. D. Liddle and .Mary Day gave nicely rendered recitations, and a humorous selection was given by Pro. "R. Day. The superintendent provided a sin prise packet, which cause,l much interest and excitement, and was finally won by Sis. N. Goring. The following new members joined the Temple: Bros. Roy and Harold Delaney. and Sis. Dolcie Peid. Hot cross buns were handed round and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Next session was announced as Pros. Night, to be arranged by Pro. Boh Day. Both Temples are showing signs of increasing their membership.
