f'rISBORNE, 'l'liis Day A motor oar containing four passenger in addition to the driver went over
"bank and into the river between Motn and Matawai last evening. One of the passengers, Mrs W. I. Karata received severe injuries. The car driver, Douglas Jlmeny,- was conveying four Maori women from Waikato to Tolago Bay. Shortly before reaching Matawai visibility became bad through mist, and the ear left- the road and hurtled 50 feel down a bank into the river. Mrs Karat a was pinned beneath the ear in the river and was extricated with considerable dii fieultv.
