The annual conference of fhe Victorian Labour Party carried a. resolution that the form of retrenchment suggested by tho Labour Ministry In apply to workers on the Victorian railways was opposed to the principles of the Labour Party. After the resolution Mr Logan. Premier, intimated that (he decision represented a vote of censure on the Ministry, and that there was no alternative for the Ministry but to resign. After this decision bail been communi cated to the conference the motion was rescinded, and a motion o( confidence in the Ministry substituted.
