NAPIER, This Day

In reference to the steamer which was reported to he. in distress off Co rangahau on Sunday night, the Kahikn, which arrived at Napier yesterday af ternoon reports having sighted an unknown vessel a little to the south of Cape Turnagain. 'Die Kahika signalled hut received no reply. No further steps were taken as the ship sighted appeared to he proceeding normally on a southerly course.
