LIQUOR TRAFFIC
ON CANADIAN BORDER REACHES VAST PROPORTIONS (By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian 4 N.Z. Cable Association) (Received 7th February, 1.25 p.m) WASHINGTON, 6th February. The vast dimensions of the liquor traffi* across the Canadian, border is revealed with the publication of the minutes of the Customs Conference here last August. One Canadiaf house is said to have made 5,000.000 dollars in a year and there are fifty such organisations near Detroit. In the first five months of 1927 Canada exported 6,236.126 dollars worth of liquor marked for the United States.
