LATE EARL HAIG LYING IN STATE AT EDINBURGH CROWDS PASS COFFIN (By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian 4 N.Z. Cable Association) LONDON,, 6th February. There were pulpit tributes to Earl Haig throughout the country .yesterday. People all flay were passing the coffin as it lav in St. Giles's Cathedral, Edinburgh, at the rate of 2000 an hour. Services were curtailed and (he cathedral kept open until 10 o'clock in the evening to enable the great crowd to pass. Lady Haig was only able yesterday to break the news of his father's "death to his son, who Ihoq been ill, suffering from appendicitis. "'
