RESIGNATION OF CABINET

GARRISON CONFINED TO BARRACKS •_ ATHENS, 4th Feb. The garrison is confined to barracks. There are the wildest reports regarding military disaffection current, but they are not confirmed. The Royalist newspaper has published an alarmist supplement. RECONSTRUCTION DIFFICULTIES (Received 6th Feb., 9.10 a.m.) ATHENS, sth Feb. Reconstruction of the Zaimis Cabinet is regarded as practically impassible. The President has requested Caphandaris to negotiate with the party leaders. VENIZELOS'S INTRIGUES (Received 6th Feb., 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, sth Feb. The "Sunday Express" states that Venizelos has "gone to Paris following Caphandaris's threat to resign direction of the Liberal Party if Venizelos continued intrigues with militarists.
