BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS BRITISH INQUIRY (By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Australian A N.Z. Cable Association) LONDON, 2nd Feb. The civil servants’ inquiry as a result of the disclosures in the Dyne case, is being conducted by Sir Warren Fisher, Permanent Secretary, to the Treasury, Sir Malcolm. Ramsay, Comptroller and Auditor-General, and M. L. Gwyer, Procurator-General of the Treasury. It is pointed out. that although these are members of the civil service they are not connected with the Foreign Office. Maxse, like Gregory, is not on duty at present. The “Daily Express” protests against secrecy and says this is a ease where there is no need, and not even an excuse for meeting publicity with privacy.
