Values of both fruit and vegetables are on the upward, a very satisfactory conditipn pf things from the growers’ standpoint:— Fruit: Apples, dessert, 7s 6d to 11s 9d; apples cookers, 4s 6d to 6s 6d; pears, W.8.C., 7s to- 9s 6d; grapes, Is 3d to Is 71d per lb; tc-matoes Hutt, 4id to 9d per lb; peaches, Otago-, 3s 6d to 6s 6d; peaches Hastings 7s 6d to 11s 9d ; apricots 3s 6d to 7s lid ; nectarines 6s to 9s 4d ; oranges Californian 30s; lemons 65s Californian. Vegetables: Potatoes £lO to- £l7 10s; onions 5s 6d bag; peas 6s 6<l to 17s 6d sack; pumpkins 10s to 11s 6d sack ; beans 6s 6cl to 17s 6d bag; lettuce, 2s 6s to 9s 7d case; cauliflower 3s 6d to 7s case • carrots 3d to 7d bunch ; parsnips 5d to 7d bunch; cabbage Is to 3s a case; beetroot 2d to sd; cucumbers 4s 6d to 7? dozen.
