STRANGE STATEMENT
, A RUMANIAN’S ALLEGATIONS PARIS, 4th. Dec. The police are investigating the strange statement of a Rumanian, Gregory Marinesco, who alleges that another Rumanian fired six shots at him in the B'ois de Boulogne because he refused to undertake to assassinate Prince Carol for a reward of £BOO, a, project in which he professed interest when he casually met the stranger near the Rumanian Embassy on Friday.
LETTER DESCRIBED AS A FORGERY (Received 6th Dec., 10.5 a.m.) BUCHAREST, st,h Dec. King Ferdinand’s alleged letter in reference to Prince Carol is semi-officially decribed as a forgery. M. Bratianu before his death repudiated the letter.
