ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER

A RAROTONGAN INCIDENT (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Alleged to have attempted to murder and to do grievous bodily harm to a native girl named Noo at Rarotonga on 14th November, Gavin John Allan, a ship’s storekeeper, aged 23, appeared on remand to-day, when Chief Detective Ward stated that it would be so-nje time before the papers in connection with the charge could be received in Wellington, but accused had offered voluntarily to go to Rarotonga to face the charge. Iji these circumstances a remand till tomorrow would be asked for, accused to be placed aboard the Makura when she sailed this afternoon^ The remand was made accordingly.
