/Tofo//£ tldis To apply Rockland Superphosphate, when sowing Rape is to ensure quick rooting and establishment before the dry, early-summer spell. This Spring being a backward one, Super will also ensure crops to time, while the recent rains will greatly help the fertiliser to produce maximum yields. Recent Government tests have again demonstrated the fact that a water soluble phosphate manure such as ROCKLAND SUPERPHOSPHATES, is best suited for Canterbury lands, and WILL produce maximum RAPE CROPS, where other less soluble phosphates fail. In one of the tests carried out, the yield of Rape increased from 5 to 7 tons per acre when the quantity of Super was increased from 1 to 2 cwts. per acre, which is the approximate amount recommended by. us for all rape crops. - _ Early Swede & Turnip Crops Superphosphate the world over is THE manure for early Swede and Turnip crops. It stimulates early growtlvand enables the plants to quickly get past the " FLY" stage, thereby producing yields that are heavier, healthier, and of a maximum feeding quality. According to 53 Government Tests, turnips are practically a failure in Canterbury without manure. Where 25.8 tons per acre were secured by using Superphosphate, only 13.7 tons were obtained without manure. Consequently wise farmers have come to realise the necessity of sowing the correct fertiliser, with Swede and Turnip crops, and by experience have found that maximum results are secured by using ROCKLAND SUPERPHOSPHATE. ROCKLAND SUPERPHOSPHATE is procurable from all Stock and Station Agents and Produce Merchants. Manufacturers: KEMPTHQRNE, PROSSER & CO.'S NEW ZEALAND DRUG CO., LTD. 136 High Street, Christchurch. mm®
