(By Electric Telegraph-Copy right) (Australian A N.Z. Cable Association)
(Received 291 li Nov., 11.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day
Speaking at a luncheon in his honour by the Constitutional Club, Mr -Mulch said that the Labour movement in New South Wales was no longer the movement to which he had given a quarter of a century of work and service. "It i s now based on the Russian model, without question and any doubt. Not iOnly its general scheme, but also its 'methods are those adopted by the Soviet. Russia has direct representatives in New South Wales and they arc doing .work for which they are paid. It is not necessary to-day to be a member of the Labour Partv to control the Labour movement. It is found to he sometimes better not to he a member of a firm when more business can be done by not being a member.” Air Mutch then outlined the methods adopted by the executive of the Australian Labour Party and said that, they had been done in accordance with instructions issued bv the I bird Intelnational, and'the ]M)otit'~irio'veiirent’ today in New South Wales was controlled by a modified iorm of the Soviet system. ljo concluded by staling that ho could say definitely, that evidence indicated that an attempt was successfully ifiade to capture the Australian Labour Party executive of this State and turn it into a miniature Soviet to be-extended to every State in the Commonwealth.
