DANCE INCIDENT
GIRL ASSAULTS FORMER LOVER (United Tress Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Gladys Victoria Carpenter was lined £2 to-day for assaulting John Sneddon. 'Die Police said that the girl admitted she had been out to get revenge. 'Hie pair had been keeping company, hut evidently had parted! While at a dance the girl rushed at Sneddon with a table knife. Had she not been stopped there was no doubt she would have injured him. Counsel for the girl said she had been treated very badly.
