NELSON AND TAHUNA GOOD TEMPLARS

Oa Saturday evening the weekly session of the Loyal Nelson Lodge was held in the Reehabite Hall, presided over by Chief Templar Sis. Miss K. Moyes. The new quarterly Guides were received and favourably commented on, and /it was decided to convey fraternal greetings and good wishes for continued success to all the lodges in the Dominion.

The weekly epitome was read by the electoral superintendent Bro. Watson, which gave a brief summary of the 47tli session of the International Supreme Lodge of the Order, recently held in Philadelphia, U.S.A., at which it was reported the total membership of .the Order in the 65 grand lodges working in over 30 different countries and states of the world was now over'half a million, i.e., 538,000 in over 10,000 branches. An interesting discussion followed ntiu was taken part in by several members. A Jlcwer "puzzle competition was held, in which all present tonic part, niM concluded with a song rendered by Bro. Watson. The following week’s programme was announced ns Questions and Answers, which will doubtless prove interesting and educational. The superintendent of the, Tnjiuna Juvenile Temple, Bro. Somerville, reported a well-attended session of the Temple held in the Tnhuna Boys’ Club room. In the unavoidable absence of the Chief Templar Sis.', Miss Joan Mitchell, Bro. P. Sanders acted as chief. Two new members, Tony Bonnington and Juno Vasia, were duly initiated and'received a hearty welcome. The pro gramme was a visit from Sis. K. Moyes and other members of the Loyal Nelson Lodge, and Pound Night. During the evening several most interesting games were introduced and - led by Sis. Moyes, after which a competition of jumbled street names was provided, Bros. J. Vass and R. Stagg winning the competition. Supper was then handed round and thoroughly enjoyed. The session ended with, a vote of thanks to Sis. Moyes, and the singing of the National Anthem.
