MISSIONARY BAZAAR
C.M.S. FUNCTION TO-DAY
The Church Missionary Society s annual bazaar was opened in the Marsden Church House by the Very Rev. Dean Askew this afternoon. There is a good attendance of the public and the success of the two days’ function is assured. Palm fronds, flowers in profusion, a Christmas tree and other greenery have been very effectively used in decorating the hall which _in to-day’s warm weather looks an inviting oasis. The stalls have been arranged conveniently about the hall and near the stage, well surrounded with greenery, are the small tables that comprise the tea-room. The assistants and their respective departments are as follows: — Tea room: Mesdames Bartlett, Webb, Scott, Peck, Misses Tomlinson, Lightfoot and Capper. Cake-stall: Mesdames Askew, Fletcher and Brundell. Fairy well: Miss Goldsmith. Sweet stall: Mesdames E. Harris and Easterfield.
